Funny how often this question has been asked since Praecere opened for business. Contrary to some assumption, the Æ character is not a design element!
The Latin students will know this, but for the rest of us, “Æ” is grammatically classified as a diphthong in Classical Latin. The character is pronounced “ay” as in “say” so the name of the firm sounds like “pray-sair.”
